1. Double-click the Internet Mail and News 1.1 icon.
   
2. On the menu bar, click Edit and select Preferences.
   
3. Click anywhere in the Mail Server area.
   

   

4. In the SMTP Host Name text box, type mail.activecom.net
   
5. In the POP Account text box, type your username@activecom.net
   
6. In the POP password text box, type your password.
   
7. Click anywhere in the News Server area.
   

   

8. In the Server Address text box, type news.activecom.net
   

   

9. Click the Add button.
   
10. Click anywhere in the User Profile area.
    

    

11. In the User Name text box, type your name
    
12. In the E-mail Address text box, type your username@activecom.net
    
13. Click the OK button.
