  1. Open Outlook 98.
  2. From the Tools menu, choose Accounts.

  3. Click the Add button, and choose Mail.

  4. In the Display name box, type your name.

  5. Click the Next button.
  6. In the E-mail address box, type your e-mail address (e.g., username@activecom.net).

  7. Click the Next button.
  8. From the drop-down list, choose POP3.
  9. In the Incoming mail (POP or IMAP) server box, type mail.activecom.net.
  10. In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server box, type mail.activecom.net.

  11. Click the Next button.
  12. Select Log on usin: POP account name, Password.
  13. In the POP account name box, type your username.
  14. In the Password box, type your password.

  15. Click the Next button.
  16. In the Internet mail account name box, type Active Mail (Note: this can be anything you want).

  17. Click the Next button.
  18. Select Connect using my phone line.

  19. Click the Next button.
  20. Select Use an existing dial-up connection.
  21. Select your Active connection.

  22. Click the Next button.
  23. Click the Finish button to save settings.
